Booking & Money

How do I apply?

Click "Apply" on any tour page. We review applications and follow up within 48 hours. Spots are first-come, first-confirmed once the deposit is in. Our local supporters get first access; once they've had a chance, we open it up to the broader YouTube audience.

What's the deposit?

$500 per person, non-refundable. It holds your spot. We can't reserve a place without it.

When is the balance due?
  • Armenia: by March 16. Non-refundable after that date.
  • Panama: 60 days before departure. Non-refundable after that date.
Why is everything non-refundable?

Because we book hotels, transportation, and translators in advance based on confirmed travelers. If someone backs out late, we can't recover those costs. This is also why travel insurance is strongly recommended — it's the right tool for "something happened, I can't go" situations.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes — once your deposit is in, you can pay the balance in installments any time before the final due date. Email us if you want a schedule.

Can I get a discount for bringing friends?

We don't formally discount, but if you bring three or more new travelers we'll usually find a way to take care of you. Ask.

The Trip Itself

How big are the groups?

Intentionally small. Armenia caps around 16. Panama is typically 12–16, sometimes smaller. You'll know everyone by name within two days.

Who's it for?

Couples, solo travelers, photographers, drone pilots, families with adult kids, retirees who want adventure without a tour bus. We don't take unaccompanied minors.

What's the pace?
  • Armenia: moderate. We walk up to a quarter mile on uneven ground, climb stairs, and carry our own luggage. Most days are 8–10 hours of activity with breaks.
  • Panama: relaxed. Casual hikes, beach time, and a lot of free hours.
Is this a "missions trip"?

No, not formally. It's a Christian-led tour with a humanitarian heart. In Armenia we meet displaced families and, when the Lord opens a door, we extend practical help — sometimes financial, sometimes just presence. In Panama the spiritual dimension is quieter, but it's there.

Do I have to be a Christian to come?

No. You should know our faith is part of every trip — we pray together, we worship when we can, we talk openly about what we believe. If you're comfortable being in that environment, you're welcome.

Will Chuck actually be there the whole time?

Yes. On every trip, every day. That's the point.

Travel & Logistics

Is airfare included?

No. International flights are on you. Chuck can advise on routing and timing if you want — just ask after you've applied.

Do I need a visa?
  • Armenia: U.S. passport holders get a visa-free stay of up to 180 days. No visa needed.
  • Panama: U.S. passport holders get up to 180 days visa-free.
  • Other passports: check your country's requirements. We can't advise on every nationality.
Is travel insurance required?

Required, no. Strongly recommended, yes. Look for a policy that covers trip cancellation, medical evacuation, and lost luggage. We can suggest providers.

What about safety?

Armenia is safe. Panama is safe. We've been to both many times, with people of all ages, and have never had a serious incident. We avoid the parts of any country that aren't safe — that's part of what we do for a living.

What should I pack?

We send a detailed packing list two months before departure. Short version: comfortable walking shoes, layers, a converter for outlets, a copy of your passport, and (in Armenia) something with sleeves and a knee covering for entering monasteries.

Do you provide a guide / translator?

Yes — included in the price. English-speaking, every day, the whole trip.

After You Apply

When will I hear back?

Within 48 hours.

What happens after I'm accepted?

You'll get an email with deposit instructions, a recommended airfare routing, and a private group chat (usually Telegram) where everyone going on your trip can talk and ask questions. About 60 days out, we send the full pre-trip packet — packing list, daily details, what to expect.

Can I bring my drone?

Armenia: yes, with reasonable rules about where (not over military sites or active monasteries during services). Panama: yes, but check current local regulations — they shift.

Can I extend my trip on either end?

Absolutely. People often arrive a day or two early or stay after. We'll connect you with our hotel partners for extended stays at our group rate.
